Alga, the latin word for "seaweed" as well as "link" is an experimental laboratory aiming to create objects bordering between jewelry and sculptural objects. Inspired by a futuristic cabinet of curiosities, the brand sources its inspiration by observing bio-organisms such as insects and changes the function of seduction/ capturing what we could find in certain baits and hooks.

The creator Fanny Bergerot, hailing from a design and fashion course had first arbored the idea in 2016 at the ISDAT of Toulouse, on the notion of object and collections to eventually specialise in jewelry making at La Cambre Bruxelles by working, amongst other things, with the creators of the House Wouters and Hendrick. Since then, she collaborates with jewelry makers such as Diederick Van Hovell and the clothing and accessory brand LYKX.

Our handmade unique pieces created in our Brussels ateliers, are made with a vaste range of materials. For each piece we look for a uniqueness and preciousness that are all their own.
